Blake Bortles isn't a guy you'd want leading your team in real life, and he ranks right near the bottom of the pack in our Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric.

The good news, though, is that this doesn't stop him from being a capable fantasy producer, especially in the right matchup.

Bortles is averaging 25 fantasy points per game over his last three, and twice this season has finished as a top-four quarterback for a week. The Jacksonville Jaguars are the most pass-heavy team in the league (and the only team with a pass-run ratio above 2.0), as well as the league's most pass-heavy red zone team -- meaning any scoring they do is likely to come from Bortles.

And as far as the "right matchup" goes? The Detroit Lions rank dead-last in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play and have allowed the league's third-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
