7 NFL FanDuel Bargains for Week 11
Sammie Coates, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
FanDuel Price: $5,000
Sammie Coates is a risky play and not one I love in cash games, but with FanDuel scoring only rewarding 0.5 points per reception, you're not generally getting a great floor from players in this price range anyway -- and Coates offers huge upside relative to his price tag, making him a strong play in tournaments.
His 0.86 Reception NEP per target ranks 10th among the 74 wideouts to have seen at least 40 targets this season, and those numbers come as a result of his serious big-play ability.
Coates is averaging 21.3 yards per reception, and a look at Josh Hermsmeyer's "air yards" metric -- which measures how far downfield a receiver was on each of his targets -- gives an even deeper look at just how heavily Coates is being used in the deep passing game. Despite accounting for 11% of the targets in the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense, Coates has accounted for 26% of the team's air yards. His 19.5 air yards per target are also the highest mark among any player with at least 5 targets on the season.
Pittsburgh should do plenty of damage through the air this week against a Cleveland Browns defense that ranks 31st in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play, and Coates is always a threat to be a big part of that damage.
