Vance McDonald caught 3 of 6 targets in Week 11, which marked his fourth-consecutive week with at least 6 targets. Over the past three weeks, he has 180 yards and 2 scores and has at least 9 PPR points in each game.

Colin Kaepernick and McDonald are gelling at just the right time, as the San Francisco 49ers draw a Miami Dolphins defense in Week 12 that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.

McDonald's boom-or-bust nature (2 or fewer catches in five of eight games this season) makes him nothing more than a deep-league option, but he is certainly worth a look given his upside (50 yards or a touchdown in five of eight games) and matchup.
