Week 12 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming: Firing Up the Saints
Tennessee Titans
Owned: ESPN 14.2%, Yahoo 16%
numberFire Projected Rank: 12th
We've highlighted the Titans in this column a few times this season, and they've paid off more often than not.
This week, the Titans head to Chicago for what appeared to be a plus matchup against Jay Cutler, but then it was reported Monday that Cutler is expected to miss Week 12, leaving Matt Barkley as the next man up. Additionally, Zach Miller is now out for the season with a broken foot, leaving Barkley with Cameron Meredith and Eddie Royal as his top two targets.
Barkley has only seen the field in one game this year, coming in in relief of an injured Brian Hoyer in Week 7. Predictably, Barkley struggled in a little over a half of play, throwing for only 81 yards and 2 interceptions.
While the Titans defense only ranks 25th in our schedule-adjusted metrics, they're near the top of the league in both sacks (third-most) and quarterback hits (fourth-most). They also have nine picks, tied for the ninth-most in the league
Facing Barkley and a banged up Bears team, the Titans make for a sensible streaming option if you can't grab New Orleans.
