Week 13 NFL Advanced Analytics Superstars
Tight End: Ladarius Green
Ladarius Green, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
6 Receptions, 110 Yards, 11 Targets, 1 Touchdown
Performance: 90, NEP: +11.13
We've seen the Steelers bring Green along slowly over the past few weeks, limiting him in both snaps and routes run. Week 13 was a breakout for Green, who saw a massive uptick in usage and finishing with 6 receptions on 11 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown.
His 11 targets were a team-high, and more than he's seen over the past three weeks combined.
Ben Roethlisberger targeted him routinely given the mismatch he created with the New York Giants linebackers and safeties. With Big Ben's penchant for holding onto the ball until the last minute, Green worked through his routes and constantly provided Roethlisberger with a big target, as all of his receptions either going for first downs or touchdowns.
His biggest play came where Green improvised against coverage he saw and come down with a 37-yard reception on 3rd-and-7. That play added +3.54 to his NEP total and it looks like Green has added another dimension to this dangerous Pittsburgh offense.
However, he finished as this week's TE3 in PPR scoring behind Dwayne Allen and Dennis Pitta.
