Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 14
Ibraheim Campbell, Strong Safety
The Cleveland Browns have little to be proud of in this winless 2016 season, but strong safety Ibraheim Campbell might be one of those few things. The young thumper in the secondary is beginning to grow into his starting role for both the NFL team and fantasy owners, ranking 15th out of 84 safeties with an 11 percent tackle rate this year. He’s not earned any big plays this year, but the tackle production alone gives him a strong floor of value.
The Browns should go down on the scoreboard against the Cincinnati Bengals early this week, and the Bengals will look to salt away the game with the run behind Jeremy Hill. Cincy has the 12th-most run-heavy play calling ratio, meaning there will be plenty of tackle chances for Campbell in this one.
Campbell is available in 99.3% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 4.19 tackles, 0.12 interceptions, 0.34 passes defended, and a total score of 5.49 fantasy points in Week 14.
