3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 16

Donte Moncrief is playing in what should be one of the more fantasy-friendly affairs of the week as the Indianapolis Colts take on the Oakland Raiders. We're going to want some exposure to this game, but Moncrief may be fool's gold.

Looking at his FanDuel point totals, Moncrief has been a very consistent producer, scoring between 10 and 14 points in five straight games prior to a goose egg in Week 14 (he sat out Week 15). Moncrief has been incredibly reliant on touchdowns, though. Wideouts in 2015 averaged a touchdown every 157.24 receiving yards, and Moncrief has a score every 46.1 receiving yards in 2016.

That's pretty insane, and it also screams regression.

In the aforementioned five-game run, Moncrief averaged a paltry 40.8 yards per game with a single-game high of 55 yards. Amazingly, he found the end zone in each game.

In the same way Hill needs splash plays to be productive, Moncrief needs touchdowns. He's played seven injury-free games, and he's scored a touchdown in six of them -- so maybe there's something other than luck going on with his red zone production. With that said, odds are Moncrief isn't going to be able to sustain this touchdown rate, and when regression hits, it won't be pretty.
