DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Helper for Week 17
Tight Ends
High-Cost Option: Zach Ertz ($4,800)
Over the course of his career, Zach Ertz has been lights out in the month of December. He gets a cupcake matchup against a Dallas Cowboys squad that has struggled defending opposing tight ends for much of the season. The Cowboys have allowed the second-most receptions, third-most receiving yards, and sixth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. We could also likely see Dallas resting a ton of its starters. Excluding last week's game against Landon Collins, Ertz has averaged 12 targets per game over his last three outings. Ertz is a strong play this week in both cash games and tournaments.
Mid-Cost Option: Eric Ebron ($3,600)
Eric Ebron is in a plus matchup this week against the Packers, who are allowing the ninth-most receptions and eighth-most receiving yards to tight ends. The Packers have allowed at least 10.8 DK points (3x cash value for Ebron) to eight different tight ends. Ebron is coming off a 12-target game last week, and he will likely be utilized heavily once again in a game the Lions need to win. Ebron's touchdown total (one) is concerning, but the Packers have been vulnerable against the middle of the field and slot receivers -- essentially Ebron's role in this offense. Ebron makes for a strong cash and GPP play this week as a mid-cost option at tight end.
Low-Cost Option: Coby Fleener ($3,100)
In his Week 3 matchup with the Falcons, Coby Fleener had arguably his best game of the season with 7 grabs for 109 yards and a score. The Falcons haven't improved much against the position over the course of the season, ranking in the bottom 10 in most receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns allowed to opposing tight ends. That gives Fleener a ceiling that worth chasing as a cheap value play.
Other Options: Travis Kelce ($5,000), C.J. Fiedorowicz ($3,900), Martellus Bennett ($3,900)
