While more expensive options like Russell Wilson and Ben Roethlisberger are likely going to get a lot more love, Eli Manning is quietly in a very solid spot.

The Green Bay Packers are one of three defenses in action this week that allowed QB1 (top-12) fantasy performances in at least half of their games, and also one of three defenses that ranks bottom-10 in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play.

Since the New York Giants' bye in Week 8, Manning has thrown for at least two touchdowns in six of nine games, with three games of three-plus touchdowns in that span.

Looking at his games not reaching that two-touchdown threshold, his opponents were Washington, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Philadelphia Eagles. In Jonathan Bales' most recent book, he did some research that shows that quarterbacks tend to fare significantly worse in their second game against divisional opponents, which each of those games were. Adding to that, the Eagles and Cowboys both rank well ahead of the Packers in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP.

Manning's in a favorable spot, and he should be able to return some solid value.
