3. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Total NEP: 172.23

You can give the MVP award to Ezekiel Elliott if you'd like, but just don't ignore what Dak Prescott did for Dallas this season. After adjusting for opponent strength, the Dallas Cowboys finished fourth in per-play passing efficiency (0.28) this season.

Last year, their score was -0.02, ranking 30th in the NFL. Oh, and they still had the ninth-ranked rushing attack by Adjusted Rushing NEP per play in 2015.

They led the league in rushing efficiency this season, but again, a big part of that goes to Prescott, who led the position in Rushing NEP, adding 31.81 expected points on the ground.

Overall, Dallas had the third-best offense in the NFL on a per-play basis, per our metrics, and Prescott deserves plenty of credit.
