6. Kenny Britt, Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams did not go deep often this year (both Case Keenum and Jared Goff were among the five lowest deep rates in the league), but they made hay when targeting Britt. Neither Keenum nor Goff threw an interception on their 25 total deep targets to Britt, and he hauled in 13 of those. Considering the source, that's a solid output.

What may wind up masking Britt's abilities down the field is that he didn't turn any of these 25 deep targets into touchdowns. However, based on what NEP is telling us, he still added a ton of value in helping to set up other scoring opportunities. It's hard to judge what Britt's final value will be relative to that of Jackson, but the metrics say he should be getting just as much money, if not more.

As the Rams transition into Sean McVay's offense, they need players who can excel down the field, much like Jackson did with McVay in Washington. Britt's a guy who can do exactly that. However, it seems as if the Rams are intent to let Britt walk in free agency, and that's a mistake that could have major ramifications for Goff's development. As we've seen, there are other options available in free agency, but it would seem short-sighted to allow Britt to walk given the assistance he could provide Goff in his second year at the helm.
