8. Ted Ginn Jr., Carolina Panthers

Deep Targets: 22 | Target NEP per Target: 1.11 | Success Rate: 45.45%

Ted Ginn Jr.'s continued relevancy with the Carolina Panthers has been frustrating fantasy football players for two years running now. He may do only one thing, but at least he does it well.

Even though Cam Newton and Derek Anderson combined to throw a pair of picks when targeting Ginn deep and completed just 10 of 22 passes, Ginn made up for it with his big plays. He wound up scoring on 4 of those 22 deep passes, racking up a team-leading 375 yards. For comparison, Greg Olsen had 363 yards and 1 touchdown on 12 more such targets than Ginn.

Ginn is set to hit free agency this offseason as he enters his age-32 campaign. He's not a guy who's going to command a huge salary, but he showed this year that he can still at least provide some value to a team. He wouldn't be a bad gamble for a team looking to improve its vertical passing game.

Ginn is one of four impending free agents who wound up making this list, which is a positive for teams looking to bulk up on pass catchers. Each of the next two also fit that criterion, but they're likely to garner much more attraction than Ginn. Regardless, this is still a guy who can produce as long as teams are willing to inherit the drops and limitations that come along with the deep skills.
