Los Angeles Chargers
Top Needs: IOL, OT, ILB, S
The Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers have improved dramatically from this point last season, but they still have holes to fill in both a flawed offense and shifting defense.
People will point to wide receiver Keenan Allen's injuries as need for insurance at that position, but the big issues in both the passing and running game can be traced to bad offensive line play, on the interior and edges. San Diego ranked 26th in Rushing Success Rate and 23rd in Sack NEP this year, so finding players to bolster ranks that include tackle King Dunlap and guard Orlando Franklin is a must.
The Chargers are also transitioning to a 4-3 defensive front under new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, and with that shift, linebackers who fit the scheme will be a big need for the Bolts. In addition, strong safety Jahleel Addae seems likely to leave in free agency and free safety Dwight Lowery is on the wrong side of 30. It won't be simple figuring out how to maintain their 10th-best and 11th-highest ranks in Adjusted Defensive Passing and Rushing NEP per play, respectively.
