Top Needs: QB, TE, OLB, CB

You don’t get to be a near bottom-five team in the league without bad quarterback play, and that’s where the New York Jets are right now. The Jets’ quarterback trio of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Geno Smith, and Bryce Petty combined for the second-worst Passing NEP per drop back in 2016, and they have proven that they don't believe Christian Hackenberg is the future for them.

The tight end position was also non-existent for Jets once again this year, as Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Brandon Bostick combined for 28 targets.

The Jets’ pass defense was abhorrent, ranking 29th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play, and the decline of cornerback Darrelle Revis was a big part of that. Revis may be cut, which leaves Buster Skrine and Marcus Williams as the top two corners this year -- eesh. Second-year outside linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin was not ready for a full-time role and struggled mightily on the edge, too.
