Philadelphia Eagles

Top Needs: RB, WR, DT, CB

The Philadelphia Eagles spent the second overall pick last year on quarterback Carson Wentz, who had plenty of developmental issues in his own right. That said, he was not helped by a wide receiver group that earned the third-worst Reception NEP per target and seventh-least total Reception NEP. They also have a perpetually-injured Ryan Mathews and ancient Darren Sproles anchoring a backfield ranked 15th by Total NEP per play.

The Eagles were unable to halt opposing run games, with just the 17th-best defense by Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. Defensive tackles Fletcher Cox and Bennie Logan are ill-fit for the 4-3, so they need to plug the hole in the middle of the line.

The Eagles also had the second-best Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play but cut Leodis McKelvin this offseason. Starting 2017 with Nolan Carroll and Jalen Mills as the top cornerbacks might not be the best choice for this unit if they want to match their ranking from 2016.
