Re-Drafting the Wide Receivers From the 2014 NFL Draft Using Advanced Analytics
5. Sammy Watkins
CarAV: 20
As the first wide receiver selected and the fourth overall pick, Sammy Watkins has put together a promising yet disappointing first three seasons. After two seasons with at least 60 catches and 6 touchdowns, Watkins suffered through injuries in 2016, yielding just 28 catches and 2 touchdowns in eight games.
The youngster's second season was his best of the three. He returned an AV of 9 while exceeded the 1,000 yard mark and taking 9 balls to the house.
If he's going to see more successful seasons like that, Watkins will first have to get healthy, and only then will he improve on his 55.4% catch rate -- something that has certainly been troubling for the Buffalo Bills.
