Los Angeles Chargers

Needs Entering Draft: IOL, OT, ILB, S
Positions Drafted: WR, IOL, OT, DT, S

The Los Angeles Chargers took wide receiver Mike Williams at seventh overall, and his presence adds strength to a strength. Sure, it will be nice to take some pressure off of Keenan Allen, Tyrell Williams and Dontrelle Inman, but Mike Williams was definitely a luxury pick.

The Chargers landed body blow after body blow in this draft, however, grabbing two of the best guards in the class in Forrest Lamp and Dan Feeney in the second and third rounds. These two will anchor the line for both quarterback Philip Rivers and running back Melvin Gordon.

After that, the fourth and fifth rounds were dedicated to safeties, and The U’s Rayshawn Jenkins and Iowa cornerback/safety Desmond King were steals at this point. If and when Dwight Lowery and Jahleel Addae walk, there is backend depth. Seventh-round defensive lineman Isaac Rochell will compete for run-stopper snaps in the new-look 4-3 defense.
