Fantasy Football: 8 Players With Favorable Schedules
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans
Opposing Defenses: 8th Easiest
Opposing Pass Defenses: 4th Easiest
After finishing 2015 as the WR6 in standard formats, DeAndre Hopkins plummeted down the ranks in 2016.
With Brock Osweiler now off to Cleveland, Houston should expect to better play at quarterback since Osweiler was one of the worst quarterbacks in the league in 2016, per numberFire metrics.
But whether it be Deshaun Watson or Tom Savage under center for the Texans, Hopkins also faces a favorable schedule in 2017. Houston will face the league's fourth-easiest slate of opposing pass defenses and the eighth-easiest schedule of opposing defenses overall.
Even if the quarterback play in Houston doesn't improve dramatically in 2017, volume shouldn't be an issue for Hopkins. He has finished in the top eight of wide receiver targets -- third in 2015 and eighth in 2016 -- in each of the last two seasons.
With the anticipated volume and a favorable schedule, don't shy away from Hopkins after a down year.
