Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson wasn't supposed to be on anyone's fantasy radar for this season. Not with Eddie Lacy coming to town, Thomas Rawls feeling healthy and C.J. Prosise showing flashes. Nope, Carson was a seventh-round pick in this spring's NFL Draft facing an uphill battle just to make the 53-man roster.

Now? There's a legitimate chance Carson is the team's Week 1 starter.

Granted, much of that is dependent on the health of the aforementioned names. But Carson's been electric in the preseason -- on Friday night, he ran with the starters for Seattle, and racked up 46 rushing yards on 8 carries, plays 44 receiving yards on two catches. And he's drawn "excited" praise from head coach Pete Carroll. So, should he get the opportunity, the Oklahoma State product has proven he can produce.

Unless you're a believer in someone from the Lacy-Rawls-Prosise group distinguishing themselves from the pack between today and Week 1, Carson could arguably be the most effective back on the roster -- he's certainly the healthiest -- and with an ADP in the 13th round of standard drafts right now, he's a steal. —Abe Schwadron
