8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 1
Sam Bradford, QB, Minnesota Vikings
Sam Bradford was far from an every-week starter in fantasy football last season. However, he did have some real value as a streamer and was more than capable of producing in the right matchup, averaging better than 20 fantasy points per game against bottom-10 pass defenses.
The New Orleans Saints are one of your best bets if you're trying to project a team to be bottom-10 against the pass this year. They finished 30th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play in 2016 after posting the worst mark in our database (dating back to 2000) in 2015. They added some help in the secondary in the offseason, drafting Marshon Lattimore, but they have also already lost one of their best corners in Delvin Breaux to a broken leg.
The Saints have allowed top-6 fantasy production to opposing quarterbacks in each of the past three seasons, and they make a great matchup for Bradford in Week 1.
