6 NFL FanDuel Studs to Target in Week 1
Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
FanDuel Price: $9,300
Projected Points: 22.4
Over the last five games of 2016, Le'Veon Bell racked up an astounding 53.11% of his team's opportunities -- no other player even eclipsed 40% in that same category. He received more than 20 touches in all but one of his 12 games last season, recording double-digit FanDuel points in each appearance.
He opens the season against the Cleveland Browns, who gave up more fantasy points per game to opposing starting running backs than any other team last year. In his past two games against the Browns, Bell has averaged 31.5 touches for 199 total yards, 1.0 touchdown, and 29.40 FanDuel points per contest.
Another plus for Bell: his Pittsburgh Steelers are favored by 8.0 points on the road. Last season, Bell averaged 5.37 more FanDuel points per game when the Black and Gold were favored, compared to when he played for an underdog. His 23.27 FanDuel points per game when favored was the highest mark of any player in the league, and his 23.58 FanDuel point-per-game average on the road trailed only Rodgers.
Despite his preseason holdout, Bell's extremely high market share, his ability to turn his touches into significant fantasy production, and the plus-matchup in Week 1 make him one of the best high-end options on the main slate.
