8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 2
Breshad Perriman, WR, Baltimore Ravens
Like the Jags, the Baltimore Ravens were incredibly run-heavy thanks to playing with a big lead in Week 1. This caused a lack of passing volume that made all of their wideouts look poor from a fantasy standpoint. A look at the distribution of the volume they did have is an interesting one, though.
Player | Snaps | Targets | Target Market Share | Air Yards | Air Yard Market Share |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Breshad Perriman | 42 | 4 | 24% | 29 | 33% |
Jeremy Maclin | 48 | 4 | 24% | 27 | 30% |
Danny Woodhead | 6 | 3 | 18% | 22 | 25% |
Mike Wallace | 47 | 1 | 6% | 6 | 7% |
Javorius Allen | 50 | 1 | 6% | 5 | 6% |
Terrance West | 41 | 1 | 6% | 4 | 4% |
Breshad Perriman was as heavily utilized as anyone else in the passing game, while accounting for the highest share of air yards and not playing significantly fewer snaps than Mike Wallace or Jeremy Maclin.
The Ravens are sizable 8.0-point favorites against the Cleveland Browns, and while they may fall into a run-heavy gameflow again, their 0.43 pass-to-run ratio from Week 1 was a ridiculous mark even for a favorite. We should see a significant increase in passing volume, which will likely translate to some solid production against a Browns' secondary that gave up 263 yards and 2 touchdowns on 24-of-36 passing to Ben Roethlisberger in Week 1.
