Offensive Rookie of the Year

Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs

See the second slide.

Seriously.

Hunt is the clear frontrunner right now by a wide margin.

With Dalvin Cook (ACL) done for the season, Leonard Fournette may the only running back capable of chasing down Hunt. Fournette has been pretty good so far, totaling 285 yards and 3 touchdowns on 81 carries. He's also added 12 receptions for 125 yards and another score.

Those are fine numbers for a rookie, but what Hunt is doing is out of this world.

Another player capable of mounting a challenge here is Deshaun Watson. As we know, quarterbacks tend to be the headliners when it comes to awards, and Watson has put together back-to-back good games. First, he threw for 301 yards, 2 scores and 2 picks in a near win at New England. In Week 4, he torched the Titans for 5 total touchdowns -- 4 passing, 1 rushing, with an interception, as well -- and was the top performer in the NFL this past weekend, per our metrics.

If Watson keeps lighting it up and the Houston Texans keep winning, his candidacy will keep gaining steam.
