10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 6
Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers

With Ty Montgomery sidelined Sunday, it was Aaron Jones who emerged as the lead back for the Green Bay Packers. Jones finished with 125 yards rushing and a touchdown on 19 carries against the Dallas Cowboys. Fellow rookie Jamaal Williams was just an afterthought, notching only one carry for one yard.
Jones' performance was actually the best for a Packers running back this season -- Montgomery never rushed for more than 54 yards in a game before he was injured.
Montgomery's status for Week 6 and beyond is up in the air as he deals with broken ribs, making Jones a top add for this week. Jones' next matchup isn't ideal, though, as the Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings, but should Montgomery remained sidelined, the Packers play the New Orleans Saints in Week 7 before heading into a Week 8 bye.
Even if Montgomery returns next week, at a minumum, Jones has shown he's one of the top handcuffs to own in fantasy football, but there's a chance Jones could have earned a meaningful role going forward regarless of Montgomery's health.
