Deshaun Watson, QB, Houston Texans

NFL.com Start Percentage: 33%

Week 5 Fantasy Points: 33.5 points

Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson finished as the No. 1 overall fantasy quarterback for the second week in a row.

Talk about deja vu.

In Week 4, Watson accounted for five touchdowns. In Week 5 he produced another five. The only difference? All five came via the pass, whereas he rushed for one in Week 4. For those who like to extrapolate, Watson's 12 touchdowns through five games works out to 38 for the season. So far, only Aaron Rodgers has more touchdown passes this year, and Watson has as many as Matt Ryan and Andy Dalton combined.

Despite the impressive performances, there are some reasons for caution. For starters, Watson has twice completed less than 52 percent of his passes in a game. He's done well in the other three games (over 62 percent each time), but the inconsistency is a concern.

Of greater concern is Watson's touchdown rate. He's currently throwing for a touchdown on 8.3 percent of his pass attempts. That's about 20 percent higher than Rodgers for this season. In fact, since 2005, there have only been four individual seasons where a quarterback had at least 300 attempts and a touchdown rate higher than eight percent. In other words, we should expect Watson's touchdown rate (and thus his fantasy scoring) to slow down significantly.

Watson is a great story and a definite consideration for those who need a spot start or like to stream the quarterback position, but he won't be the QB1 every week.
