5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 5
Kareem Hunt Leads the NFL With 775 Yards From Scrimmage
Through the first five games of his NFL career, Kareem Hunt is averaging 155 yards from scrimmage per game. He's racked up 775 total yards over that span, a rookie number only exceeded by Adrian Peterson and Eric Dickerson.
Hunt has also found the end zone 6 times and ranks 3rd among all players at any position, with an average of 22.3 fantasy points per game. That puts him on pace for a whopping 356.8 fantasy points over a full 16-game season, which would be the 6th-highest total by a running back since 1999.
The rookie has been extremely efficient both on the ground and through the air. Among all running backs with 20 or more carries this season, Hunt's 0.18 Rushing NEP per carry ranks 3rd, behind only Chris Thompson and Aaron Jones. And his 0.62 reception NEP per target ranks 5th among all running backs who have been targeted at least 10 times.
In Week 6, he gets to face off with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are giving up the 5th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, and who allowed Leonard Fournette to run over them for 181 rushing yards in Week 5.
