Philadelphia Eagles vs. San Francisco 49ers

Over/Under: 47.5

Eagles Implied Team Total: 30.25

49ers Implied Team Total: 17.25

Expected blowouts are often exploitable in daily formats and this matchup represents one of those times. The 6-1 Philadelphia Eagles find themselves at the top of the NFL, while the 0-7 San Francisco 49ers rank at the very bottom. This game features the 3rd-highest over/under of the week, but the implied point totals are more than a little bit lopsided. Indeed, Philadelphia is a 13-point favorite and as such, a number of Eagles standouts could make for elite plays.

Carson Wentz, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

FanDuel Price: $7,900

Carson Wentz has emerged as the breakout quarterback of 2017 and is a legitimate mid-season MVP candidate. Through seven contests, his 17 passing touchdowns lead the league, and he seems to get better and better each week. Perhaps even more impressive is his remarkable efficiency, as the sophomore's Passing NEP per drop back of 0.25 ranks 3rd in the NFL.

All of this makes his matchup with the struggling 49ers that much more appetizing. The Niners are allowing 0.22 Adjusted Passing NEP per play (5th-worst in the league) and have been completely demolished by quarterbacks this season, allowing the 2nd-most FanDuel points per game (21.4) to opposing signal callers.

Wentz is projected to be the highest-scoring passer of the week with 25.5 FanDuel points, and he can be started for the cost of the QB6. Don't let a potential blowout scare you off. Wentz is a home favorite playing the best football of his young career. Start him with confidence.

Nelson Agholor, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

FanDuel Price: $6,000

Nelson Agholor has been the Eagles' best wide receiver in 2017. In spite of the fact that he's seen 19 fewer targets than Alshon Jeffery, he leads all Philadelphia wideouts with 366 yards and 5 touchdowns. Through the first seven games of the season, his 1.10 Reception NEP per target ranks 2nd in the league among receivers who have seen 20 or more looks. A combination of high-end production and efficiency, Agholor has completely turned his career around.

This week, the third-year man draws a matchup with a 49ers defense that has surrendered 28.4 FanDuel points per contest to opposing wide receivers. This is a premium situation for an emerging player. Agholor can be started for WR33 cost this week and is $600 less than his teammate, Jeffery. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better value at the position on this slate.

Others to Consider

It's not exactly late-breaking news, but Zach Ertz ($7,300) has been virtually unstoppable in 2017, and his 39 catches, 494 yards, 5 touchdown receptions, and 96.9 FanDuel points lead all NFL tight ends. The only reasons not to start him are if you're scared off by the fact the 49ers only allow 5.4 FanDuel points per game to opposing tight ends or if you're seeking better value at the position. Either way, Ertz will likely continue his dominant stretch of play and could make for a top-tier stack with his underpriced quarterback this week..

Carlos Hyde ($6,600) performed adequately with 10.8 FanDuel points during a 40-10 shellacking at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys last week. A lot of that had to do with the 8 targets he received, but it's clear he has regained his role as the 49ers' featured back. The Eagles rank 23rd in Adjusted Rushing NEP per play, so the match-up is favorable in spite of this game's status as a projected blowout.

Pierre Garcon ($6,700) only produced 5 catches for 49 yards in Week 7 even though his team was playing from behind most of the day. While he has yet to establish chemistry with C.J. Beathard ($6,300), he remains the team's only viable target at wide receiver, and an uptick in targets is likely after seeing only 7 last weekend.
