8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 8
Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
This has been a bit of a rough season for Andy Dalton. He is averaging a mere 12.5 fantasy points per game and among quarterbacks with at least 20 drop backs this year, he ranks 31st in our Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back metric at -0.08.
But things have really picked up for him since Bill Lazor took over as offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals. Since that move, Dalton is averaging 17.1 fantasy points per game with a big jump to a 0.08 Passing NEP per drop back.
Dalton brings that into a terrific matchup this week as the Cincinnati Bengals boast a 27.75-point implied total against an Indianapolis Colts team that ranks dead last versus the pass, per our schedule-adjusted metrics, while allowing the league's sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
