The San Francisco 49ers offense was dealt a terrible blow this week when they were forced to place leading receiver Pierre Garcon on injured reserve. His absence leaves his 8.4 targets per game up for grabs, with Marquise Goodwin in position to grab a healthy share.

Goodwin becomes the de facto number one receiver, as he ranks first among the Niners' active receivers in snaps (358), targets (46), and yards (349). With potential targets in hand, the former Buffalo Bills receiver has an ideal matchup with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9 to assert his dominance in the 49ers receiving crew.

The Cardinals allow the third-most fantasy points to wideouts. Their disastrous secondary has allowed 247.0 yards and 2.0 passing touchdowns per game, leaving them in the bottom-third of the NFL in both categories.
