Week 10 FanDuel NFL Tournament Pivots

There are a handful of plays getting love at quarterback, but nobody seems to be standing too far ahead of the pack. Coming off a massive 311-yard, 4-touchdown effort against the New York Giants, Jared Goff is likely to garner a lot of interest. He faces a Houston Texans defense that has allowed at least 300 yards and multiple scores to three of the last four quarterbacks they've faced, as well as four of their past six.

There will also likely be a lot of interest in Josh McCown and Ryan Fitzpatrick as they face one another. The Bucs and the Jets give up the seventh- and eighth-most points per game to opposing quarterbacks, respectively. Dak Prescott will be on radars, especially now that Ezekiel Elliott is (I'm pretty sure it's certain this time) suspended, though he arguably makes for a safer play with Zeke on the field.

Eli Manning should also get a fair amount of looks as he faces off against the porous San Francisco 49ers secondary, even if he only has a couple of legitimate receiving options.

Pivot

Tom Brady, $8,500 (at Denver Broncos)

It feels weird to write Tom Brady's name as a pivot option, but here we are. After a tough opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, Brady had a spectacular three-game stretch. Since then, however, he has come down to earth from a fantasy perspective. His top score on FanDuel in his past four games is 18.46, which isn't exactly a tournament-winning number. Despite this mediocre output, his price of $8,500 is still the second highest on this week's slate.

The price will be a deterrent, but so too will the opponent as the New England Patriots go on the road to face the Denver Broncos. Brady has generally excelled in recent times against their vaunted defense, though.

In his past six games, he has topped 23 FanDuel points on four occasions. He had a dud last year (7.4 points), but he played that game without Rob Gronkowski. Denver is particularly vulnerable against tight ends (third-worst against the position), and Gronk should be healthy and ready to Gronk after a week off. I particularly love a Brady-Gronk stack while others are looking at value options across the board.

Brady's name obviously carries weight in DFS, but his ownership should still be relatively low given his price, opponent, and slew of other decent options. Coupled with his high upside, he's an excellent pivot option.
