Wide Receiver
Chalk
Coming off a bye, Antonio Brown has the best matchup he could possibly hope for. He was held to a somewhat pedestrian 5 catches and 70 yards against the Detroit Lions in Week 8, but he should be in line for a monster game against the Colts' bottom-10 passing defense. He should be the receiver everybody looks to first this week and could easily have 15-20% ownership in tournaments despite the high price tag.
Both Marvin Jones and Golden Tate should also be popular plays against the Cleveland Browns. Kenny Golladay should be back, which could eat into Jones' numbers, but the masses will likely look at Jones' explosive output over the past few weeks instead of worrying about the rookie.
One other popular play this week will likely be Robby Anderson, who has been a top-five wide receiver in the past three weeks. He gets a very juicy matchup against Tampa Bay, who has allowed 16 wide receivers to score double digits in PPR leagues in only eight games.
Pivot
Demaryius Thomas, $6,800 (vs New England Patriots)
There is little to praise about quarterback Brock Osweiler, but one thing I will say is that his inability to look at multiple receiving options on plays oddly works in Demaryius Thomas' favor. Case in point, he's had at least 12 targets in five of his last nine games with Brock at the helm. The opportunity will be there, especially this week.
The New England Patriots have been better defensively in recent weeks, but they are still the 27th-ranked team against the pass according to our metrics. They have allowed seven receivers in the past three weeks to top 60 receiving yards, and will likely be playing with a lead all game, meaning Denver should depend on the pass.
Osweiler will make his fare share of mistakes, but he should be able to connect enough with Thomas to make him a relevant play. We have him pegged at 12.2 points this week, with upside for more.
