After rushing 10 times for 36 yards and adding another 27 yards and a touchdown on 3 receptions versus the Denver Broncos in Week 10, Rex Burkhead's touches have now increased each week since returning from a four-game absence due to a rib injury. He also showed that he is an important player on special teams by blocking a punt, which will likely keep him in the good graces of the coaching staff.

Burkhead's 10 carries trailed only Dion Lewis (14), and his 3 receptions were tied with James White for the most among the New England Patriots' running backs.

Mike Gillislee was inactive for Sunday's game, showing that those three running backs will likely be making up the Patriots' backfield going forward.
