Running Back: Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints
Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints
21 Rushes, 131 Yards, 3 Touchdowns
Performance Score: 99
Only three players rushed for more than 100 yards in Week 10, and two were members of the New Orleans backfield. They also happen to be the top performing running backs according to our metrics, with Mark Ingram just edging out teammate Alvin Kamara.
The Saints put up 47 points on the road against the Buffalo Bills, with all six of their touchdowns coming on the ground. Ingram was responsible for three, carrying the ball 21 times for 131 yards and posting a Performance Score of 99.
Following the trade of running back Adrian Peterson, the Saints handed the keys to this backfield to Ingram, who has averaged over 23 touches per game over the past five weeks. And with their often abused defense suddenly becoming respectable, the team simply hasn't needed to rely on the arm of Drew Brees, freeing them up to emerge as perhaps the most dominant rushing team in the league.
Ingram looks poised to be a league winning player as the fantasy playoffs approach.
