5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 10
Adrian Peterson's Owns a 87.34% Carry Percentage Over His Past 3 Games
As a member of the New Orleans Saints, Adrian Peterson carried the ball a total of 27 times in four games.
In Peterson's first game with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, he handled 26 of the team's 35 carries. Over the three games since then, Arizona has run the ball 79 times, with all but 10 of them going to Peterson. The next-closest player in carry percentage over the past three weeks behind Peterson is Le'Veon Bell at 84.31%. Every other running back in the league has seen below 80.00% of their team's carries during that span.
The heavy workload certainly is not the result of Peterson being extremely efficient, though, as his -0.19 Rushing NEP per carry ranks 53rd among the 59 running backs with 25-plus carries. He's also averaged fewer than 2.0 yards per carry in two of his four games with Arizona.
He will likely continue to be heavily used against the Houston Texans in Week 11, but our models project him to rush for just 70.6 yards.
