DeVante Parker Will Be a Top-5 Wide Receiver

Why This Is Bold: Despite seeing at least eight targets in each game he's been healthy this season, DeVante Parker has yet to surpass 100 yards in a contest and has just one touchdown this year.

Why This Will Happen: Parker has been on the verge of a breakout. After the preseason, many analysts opined that Parker could be Jay Cutler's new Alshon Jeffery -- a big-bodied, downfield receiver who can dominate in the red zone. And despite showing flashes of that, Parker has been inconsistent.

It's this inconsistency that brings his coaches to feel that they need to motivate him. Parker has been out-targeted in the red zone this season by Jarvis Landry, who has three times the targets Parker does in that area. Landry's average depth of target this year has been as low as ever, while Parker has seen most of the downfield looks. Parker has been a garbage-time hero this year, and his crumbling Miami Dolphins team hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.

The Bucs have been disappointing in their own right, with their defense ranking 23rd against the pass, according to our metrics. They've allowed the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season in PPR leagues and the fourth-most yards, which is another pro in favor of Parker. If there's ever been a week for a Parker breakout, this is it.
