Mike Wallace, WR, Baltimore Ravens
Yahoo Ownership Percentage: 25%
Watch out, AFC. It's starting to get cold out, and that means it's time for the Baltimore Ravens to shine. The Ravens have shut out two of their last three opponents and have three shutouts on the season. In addition to their solid defense, the offense is now getting healthy and starting to take shape.
While Joe Flacco's overall numbers are still mediocre (at best), Mike Wallace has been able to eke out a position for himself on fantasy teams. He has scored in each of the past two weeks, including a fantastic grab against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, along with scoring a touchdown or registering 100 yards in four of his past six games. The schedule looks beneficial from here on out as well.
This week, he faces a Houston Texans defense that has been hemorrhaging points to opposing wide receivers. Six receivers have scored double-digit points against them in standard leagues in the past four weeks, including three who have scored 22 or more. In fantasy championship week, he faces the Indianapolis Colts, who are seventh-worst against the position this season.
At the very least, Wallace is worthy of a play this week in a fantastic matchup. If you have room on your bench, he is worth holding or using as a flex in most weeks if you are thin at the position.
