Fantasy Football: 4 Things We Learned From Week 13
Dede Westbrook Might Be the New Allen Robinson
The Jacksonville Jaguars lost Allen Robinson for the season, but they may have found his replacement in Dede Westbrook. Westbrook has played only two full NFL games, but he's already looking like a promising pro.
In the three weeks since Westbrook came off the injured reserve, he has posted some target-monster-esque numbers. His 19 targets since Week 12 (when he started playing significant snaps) are the 10th-most at the position in that time frame, and he's starting to convert those targets into real fantasy value. His 13.8 PPR points this week were good for a top-24 finish at the position (pending Monday's results).
He's already leading the team in receiving yards and targets since his return, outpacing teammates Marqise Lee and fellow rookie Keelan Cole. In just three weeks, he's climbed his way to the top of the Jaguars' wide receiver totem pole.
The Jags have a pretty easy schedule moving forward, too. They draw the injury-riddled Seahawks, Texans and our 29th-ranked defense in the 49ers. Those of us that remember the end of Robinson's big 2015 season should certainly be excited about the 2016 Biletnikoff Award winner.
