5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 13
Todd Gurley's 77.27% Carry Percentage Leads All Running Backs Over Past Three Games
Over the past three games, no running back has seen a higher percentage of their team's carries than Todd Gurley. In that span he has seen 12.07% more of his team's carries compared to his full-season average. Gurley has also seen 39.20% of his team's opportunities (which includes targets) over that span, which ranks third among all running backs and is slightly under his full-season number of 39.48%.
He has used that heavy workload to rack up the seventh-most (212.2) fantasy points of any player this season. (Yes, that includes quarterbacks.) On a per-game basis, his average of 17.7 fantasy points ranks second at his position behind only Ezekiel Elliott (18.9), who has played in four less games this year.
The Los Angeles Rams leading rusher has not been as efficient as many other running backs this season, averaging 4.2 yards per carry and ranking 29th among all running backs with at least 50 carries with -0.04 Rushing NEP per play. But his heavy involvement in the offense gives him excellent fantasy appeal.
