7 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 16
Jesse James, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
Jesse James is never going to be an exciting, high-upside play, but with the volume he has seen recently, James is a really interesting play this week.
It hasn't been consistent, but he has topped 8 targets twice in his last five games, averaging a reasonable 6.0 per game in that stretch. Things could pick up this week, as well, because the Pittsburgh Steelers will be playing without Antonio Brown (leg), who has accounted for a huge 30% of the team's targets -- the second-highest market share in the league. With additional volume to go around, James gets a boost to both his floor and ceiling.
Brown has also accounted for more than a quarter of the team's red zone targets, and with James being one of only four Steelers (including Brown) with double-digit red zone targets, there's a better chance he sees a couple of high-value looks near the end zone this week.
James' matchup in Week 16 is a soft one. He's taking on a Houston Texans defense that allows top-five fantasy production to tight ends, and our metrics have them ranked 25th against the pass.
