6 DraftKings Bargains for Week 17

It has been a few years since Branden Oliver has been fantasy relevant, but he may be once again this week as Melvin Gordon could sit due to an ankle injury. Gordon says he'll be ready, but after not practicing Wednesday, it is looking more and more like he'll be a game-time decision.

In the case that he does sit, Oliver is the likely player to take the lead-back role, and he has a solid chance to return value in what is a must-win game for the Chargers this week against the Oakland Raiders.

Oliver is an attractive play on DraftKings because of the receiving ability he brings to the table. He has gotten at least 10 touches just 14 times in his career. However, in those 14 games, has has recorded at least four catches nine times. On DraftKings, that is a huge asset. He did get a price bump to $4,000 this week in anticipation of those extra touches, but that is still a price at which he can return value.

Oakland is in the middle of the pack against running backs, but they have given up 86 receptions to the position this season, the 11th-most in the league (and only 6 catches behind 2nd). Game script should be in Oliver's favor, too, as the Chargers are 8.0-point favorites with an implied total of 25.0 points, the fourth-highest on the slate

The only problem with Oliver here is that he will probably be a very popular play if Gordon is ruled out. Chalk isn't always bad, however, especially if it allows you to fill in high-priced players elsewhere. If Oliver gets the start, he'll be hard to pass up.
