Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
DraftKings Price: $8,200
Projected Points: 12.96
The easiest path to the postseason for the Atlanta Falcons is to defeat the Carolina Panthers in the Georgia Dome Sunday. And if that were to occur, Julio Jones would likely play an integral role seeing as how Carolina has allowed the highest percentage of fantasy points (46%) to opposing wide receivers.
Jones is one of 23 wide receivers with at least 100 targets this season, and yet he is one of two in the bunch who have accrued less than 4 touchdowns (Marquise Goodwin being the other). Since he's actually received 38.8% of his total red zone targets on the year in the span of the last three weeks, and it sure seems like some regression is coming his way. If the recent red zone usage is a trend and concerted effort on Matt Ryan's behalf, there's no reason to think Jones will struggle against a defensive unit allowing 8.0 yards per attempt to his position.
As it stands, our models project only DeAndre Hopkins (13.67), Michael Thomas (13.55), and Keenan Allen (13.34) to score more DraftKings points than Jones among all wide receivers Sunday.
