There were more than a few eyebrows raised when the Chiefs released Jeremy Maclin prior to the 2017 season. After a terrible year with the Baltimore Ravens, there will be no such surprise if they decide to cut the cord.

Maclin managed only 440 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2017. Among the 85 receivers who got at least 50 looks, Maclin ranked 72nd in Reception NEP per target and 71st in Target NEP per target.

After consecutive down seasons, it's unlikely any future deal for the soon-to-be 30-year-old Maclin will be filled with guaranteed money.
