The Buffalo Bills do not want Tyrod Taylor to be their quarterback, something they've done a good job making clear over the last 12 months. The stripping him of any semblance of offensive talent, not to mention the bizarre benching after a game in which the Bills' defense seemed to be the biggest issue, should be evidence enough.

Taylor’s numbers from 2017 do smack of a player with limitations, although there are certainly worse quarterbacks out there (and a lot of them). TyGod passed for only 14 touchdowns last year, and his 0.06 Passing NEP per drop back ranked 21st among passers with at least 100 drop backs.

Releasing him would leave a hefty dead money charge, but at this point, a divorce -- or trade, if possible -- may be the best option for all parties.
