Dallas Cowboys - Dez Bryant

Cap Savings: $8,500,000

Dead Money: $8,000,000

Despite playing in all 16 games for the first time in three seasons, Dez Bryant did little to justify the huge salary he drew from the Dallas Cowboys. He didn't once hit 100 yards in a game, and his 52.4 receiving yards per game was his lowest tally in any season in which he played more than 10 games. His six touchdown receptions couldn't hide his inefficiency. Of the 112 wide receivers to have at least 30 targets, Bryant's 0.01 Target NEP per target ranked 91st.

The Jones family doesn't seem to be on the same page when it comes to Bryant's future. Stephen Jones has called him "a distraction" and advised Dez to consider that his behaviour affects the whole team. Jerry Jones, however, has said that Bryant is in his 2018 plans. Whatever happens, Bryant should not be earning such a high salary in 2018, so he may be asked to take a pay cut if he's still in Dallas next fall.
