Brice Butler, Wide Receiver

2017 Team -- Dallas Cowboys

Of the more than 200 players targeted at least 80 times between 2015 and 2017, only one player (J.J. Nelson of the Cardinals) averages more yards per reception than former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brice Butler. Butler averaged an incredible 18.47 yards on his 43 receptions over the last three seasons, including an eye popping 21.1 yards per grab in 2017.

For reasons best known to the Cowboys' coaching staff, Butler was not targeted as often as other wide receivers on the team despite being far more efficient with the looks he did receive. Butler said in January that if he was "not starting, I'm not going back (to Dallas)," which pretty much brough an end to his time with the Cowboys.

Since free agency began, he doesn't seem to have attracted too much attention. Given his field-stretching skills, if he can land in a situation where he sees good volume, Butler could be a boom-or-bust player in the DeSean Jackson mold. His PPR value would be capped, but he'd have appeal in best-ball formats.
