6 Undervalued Players Available Late in Fantasy Football Best-Ball Drafts
Round 16: Michael Gallup
Overall ADP: 182
Positional ADP: WR68
The Dallas Cowboys are a low-volume passing offense, ranking bottom-four in pass attempts in each of the past two seasons. But with Dez Bryant and Jason Witten no longer on the roster, 45% of the team's targets from 2017 are now up for grabs entering 2018.
To replace Bryant, the Cowboys signed Allen Hurns in the offseason and drafted Michael Gallup in the third round. Terrance Williams remains on the roster, but he's largely off the redraft radar due to past performance and offseason surgery.
With so many targets now available in Dallas, Hurns and Gallup appear as the two most likely to emerge as the Cowboys' top option by the end of the season. In MFL10s and best-ball leagues on Draft, Hurns is coming off the board in the 13th round, but Gallup remains widely available in the 16th.
Hurns popped for a top-15 fantasy season in 2015, scoring 10 touchdowns, but he has never been a high-volume receiver. Hurns has never had more than 64 receptions in a season, which makes Gallup a strong contender to lead the Cowboys in receptions this year.
Over 26 games at Colorado State, Gallup averaged 6.7 receptions and 103.3 yards per game while scoring 21 touchdowns during that span. Just last season, Gallup had 100 receptions for more than 1,400 yards, earning him a nomination for the Biletnikoff Award, which honors the top receiver in college football.
At WR69, Gallup's lack of competition for targets in Dallas could make him a steal at his current ADP.
