Fantasy Football: 5 Players You Can Drop After Week 1
Josh Doctson, WR, Washington

Another year, another set of disappointments for Washington wide receiver Josh Doctson. The former first-round draft pick has had a variety of injuries in his short tenure in the NFL, but entered this season mostly healthy.
Instead, opportunity is the snakebite that seems to be claiming Doctson’s 2018 season. In Week 1, Doctson saw just three targets, catching one for 11 yards. That gives him fewer looks than running back Chris Thompson, tight end Jordan Reed, and wide receivers Paul Richardson and Jamison Crowder – putting him fifth among the pass-catchers on the team.
The only thing saving Doctson from utter fantasy oblivion is the fact that there is almost no one to challenge his starting spot: Trey Quinn and Cam Sims were both injured in this game, leaving special-teamer Maurice Harris as the team’s depth at the position.
Perhaps Doctson has a fluke big week here or there later this season, but I’ve seen enough of this story before to think it’ll change too much – opportunity or not.
