3 FanDuel Defenses to Target in Week 2
Los Angeles Chargers
FanDuel Price: $4,400
numberFire Projection: 9.3 FanDuel points
L.A. defenses are in style this week as the Los Angeles Chargers join the Rams as a group to target in Week 2.
Some may be scared away from the Lightning Bolts due to a dismal performance in Week 1, where they allowed 38 points to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. It wasn't all a wash though as they managed to register seven QB hits (ninth-most on Sunday) and kept the running game in check, allowing just 3.1 yards per carry to Kareem Hunt.
However, the reason the Chargers are in play this week is less about them -- even though they were a top-five defense in 2017 regarding pass yards, points allowed, and FanDuel points per game -- and more about their opponent, the Buffalo Bills.
In Week 1, the Bills were who we thought they were -- the NFL's worst offense. The boys from Buffalo scored just 3 points while getting sacked 6 times, picked twice, and gained only 153 total yards (70 yards passing!). While Nathan Peterman won't be under center this week, rookie Josh Allen -- who went 6-for-15 (40%) for 74 yards against the Baltimore Ravens -- gets the unenviable task of guiding an offense devoid of receiving weapons. They own an implied point total of 17.75 (second-worst) and are 7.5-point home underdogs on Sunday.
