Theo Riddick, RB, Detroit Lions

Theo Riddick's low-ceiling volume is more in line with what you can usually find in a sleeper back. He's never going to dominate the Detroit Lions' backfield touches, but the volume he does see can be very valuable in fantasy, particularly in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues.

Riddick only has 4 carries on the season and has never eclipsed 92 carries or 357 rushing yards in a season. His 19 targets are the fifth-most among running backs and would even be good enough to crack the top-20 at wide receiver this season. And he's no stranger to big passing game usage, having averaged 5.6 targets per game over the last three seasons.

The Lions are heavy 6.5-point underdogs against the Patriots this week, and while that means his touchdown upside (like everyone in the offense) could be limited, that should mean big things for his volume. If Detroit is playing from behind, they should be passing more than usual, creating more opportunities for Riddick. In games where the Lions have been underdogs of more than three points since 2015, his targets jump up to 6.5 per game.
