Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears

No one would mistake the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a strong defense, as they've been frequently torched through the air this year, and entering Week 4, ranked 24th against the pass according to numberFire's Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play metric. But you would also be hard-pressed to find anyone who expected Mitchell Trubisky to throw for 356 yards and 6 touchdowns against them this week.

Prior to this offensive outburst, Trubisky hadn't thrown for over 220 yards in any of the Chicago Bears' first three games, and he accounted for just 3 total touchdowns (1 rushing) with 3 interceptions. Therefore, it's hard to have complete faith in Trubisky after just one big game, but we simply have to take notice when someone drops 43.5 fantasy points.

Given his early struggles, it's easy to forget that Trubisky was a potential sleeper entering the year under new head coach Matt Nagy, who was expected to breathe new life into an offense coming off a successful stint as an offensive coordinator in Kansas City. Trubisky also isn't lacking in receiving weapons, with the likes of Allen Robinson, Tarik Cohen, Taylor Gabriel, and Trey Burton.

Unfortunately, with Chicago on bye, we'll need to wait a couple weeks before adding another data point in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins. But if you're looking ahead in deep formats, it might be worth taking a shot on the young signal-caller.

On the other side of the same Week 4 blowout, keep an eye on Jameis Winston, who started the second half over Ryan Fitzpatrick and gets an appealing matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 if he's named the starter out of the Bucs' own bye week.
